music: john vanderslice- "green grow the rushes"

i have loved jv since i first heard "the mansion" ten years ago. i have stuck with him through the years, but, to be honest, the last two albums (at least) have been a bit stagnant. john seems to get his groove back here via weird synths and lush arrangements. this ep has some of his best material since "cellar door" and "pixel revolt." also, you can download this ep for free here.
